A masterwork of golf course design, Sage Valley is the vision of founder Weldon Wyatt, son Tom Wyatt and renowned architect Tom Fazio. With rolling hills, pine forest, iconic azaleas, and pristine waters, the course at Sage Valley reflects the beauty and natural splendor of the South.
The course features Tifway 419 Bermudagrass fairways and is finished with Tifway ultra-dwarf greens for the highest quality playing surface. Palisades Zoysia natural areas surround the course with a border of southern pines providing peaceful seclusion for an unmatched golf experience.
Opened in the fall of 2019, this Tom Fazio designed 9-hole par three course has escalated the golf experience at Sage Valley to new heights. The Par three course is open daily at 11:00 am and closes nightly at 1:00 am. It has become a new club tradition to follow up a spectacular dinner with nine holes under the lights and then some rocking chair fellowship around the firepit.
Situated next to the Par Three, this dining option offers a very unique culinary experience that once tried will be a part of every Sage Visit. From creamed five onion bisque to lobster corn dogs and finally, pecan pie and German chocolate cake sundaes, your taste buds will be dazzled. The retreat dinner has become the most photographed activity at Sage with every first-time diner sending photos because words simply can’t describe the experience!
Sage Valley’s Gun Club and Lodge offer another unique experience opportunity from sport shooting to scenic dining settings. The sport shooting complex features a Marty Fischer designed 12 station sporting clays course along with a lighted trap and skeet course, Five stand and wobble trap. All sport shooters will be equipped with Baretta shotguns and ammunition and hosted by a Trapper who will assist in the enjoyment of the sport shooting facilities.
The Lodge dining options include an amazing lobster and shrimp feast, a chef attended grilled feast or a specially crafted menus to meet and exceed your expectations.
Meetings, special occasions or gatherings from 2 to 200 can be accommodated at the Lodge.
Try to envision a 200-year-old hand crafted log cabin nestled on a hill overlooking a mountain stream with a small waterfall. Hear the sounds of crashing waters as you sit by a fir overlooking the falls. Smell the aromas of dinner being prepared over an open fire by a master chef. Listen to the laughter of friends gathered around the table along side a crackling fire whose flames intermingle with the kerosene lamps to illuminate the room. Taste the warm dessert and the silky wine as stories from the past are recounted from long held memories. This is not a “fairy tale” dream, it is the Pretzel Cabin experience.
